At the Ritz-Carlton Maui, guests are welcomed by an infinity-edge lanai is breathtaking as it is meaningful, telling the story of Kapalua. The hand-carved wooden kapa panels adorning the space symbolize the six bays surrounding the resort that were favorites of the Hawaiian chiefs. ith multiple seating areas, complete with fire pits, the lanai offers a lively and inviting atmosphere from sunrise to sunset.

The redesign takes advantage of the unique northern location by opening views to the west and east allowing guest to see both sunrise and sunset from the lobby. Beyond the lobby, infinity edge water features lead guests to a terraced pool deck with a new adults-only pool, redesigned family-pool and nd Pool Bar with front-row views of the surf.

In order to preserve Halekūlani’s legacy as the hotel heads into its second century, the restoration has been both meticulous and wide-ranging, encompassing the hotel’s physical infrastructure and public spaces, guest rooms and suites. The program included a revitalization of Halekūlani’s iconic gatehouse, porte-cochere, and a double-pitched hip roof designed by famed Hawai‘i architect C.W. Dickey.

Andaz ‘Ilikai Villas is a free-standing tower at Andaz Maui consisting of 18 three-bedroom suites and one grand suite. Guests first arrive at a floating pavilion over a cascading water feature. Throughout the interior spaces the finishes, fabric and furniture items provide texture and references to the ‘Elepaio, a bird native to the southwester shores of Maui, the color of ‘uala, which was cultivated in the ahupua’a of the site, and to mōkapu rock found along the site.

The Andaz Maui at Wailea was a complete renovation of the old Renaissance Hotel. The first beach resort for Hyatt’s Andaz brand of luxury hotels, the design is a clean, crisp, modern interpretation of beach front casual. An all wood spiral grand staircase was fabricated in New York, disassembled, shipped and then reassembled on site. Renovation includes new spa, food & beverage, meeting rooms, retail outlets and the extensive five-pool complex that terraces to the ocean.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Incorporating Hawai‘i’s heritage and culture into the design, WCIT has created a signature Polynesian longhouse porte-cochere and arrival building as well as roof lines in the property. At arrivalm you're met with a dramatic, triangular roof meant to resemble a traditional Hawaiian canoe house, floating over a koi pond. Luxurious ocean views, the spacious three and four bedroom residences floor plans have been configured for maximum view potential.
