Waiea’s design is rooted in the stories and history of Kaka‘ako. The story of Kū‘ulakai and his son ‘Ai‘ai, along with the genealogy of Kaka‘ako is woven throughout the building’s design. Its most prominent design feature is its sweeping glass facade. It is inspired by the essential life-giving role of water in Kaka‘ako’s landscape and the fishing nets used for sustenance by Hawaiians of both yesterday and today.

DESCRIPTION

Waiea’s design speaks to a respect for Hawaii’s abundant natural elements. The building’s wave-like facade and reflective glass are a nod to the name Waiea, the Hawaiian term for “water of life.” A new level of luxury living with expansive 13-ft ceilings, inviting breathtaking and picturesque views of Diamond Head and Ala Moana. The interior is appointed featuring high-quality materials, while the 88-sf lanai has great views. The sumptuous master bathroom is equipped with a deep soaking tub, his-and-hers sinks, and floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase the main attraction, toward the ocean view. Defined as an ultra luxury addition to Honolulu, we have not seen a condo like this one before. More importantly the penthouse certainly is even more supreme. However, there is not just one penthouse, but several floors and two Waiea Grand Penthouses. The Waiea Grand Penthouses represent a luxury seen only in wealthy global cities is now available in Honolulu. The 35th floor grand penthouse is 8500 square-feet and the 36th floor is 10,000 square-feet. These grand penthouses also include extensive lanais and swimming pools with disappearing edges.
